A Letter to Your Younger Self – What advice would you give as the person you are now?

Over the years I’ve learnt:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • Stay humble and be true to who you really are and what makes you genuinely happy, and mute the noise of others opinions and life’s expectations, for this is your life not theirs.
  • Be authentic, real and vulnerable as it always makes others feel comfortable to do so too.
  • Surrounded yourself with people who are good for your mental health and want what’s best for you without any agenda.
  • Stop being too nice and overly accommodating to people who take advantage of your kind nature only for their benefit. It’s okay to say no sometimes and stand up for yourself.
  • Spend more time in nature and with pets and children, they teach you about joy and how to live in the present moment.
  • Avoid comparing yourself to others, stay focused on your own life and goals, however humble.
  • Stop worrying and caring about what people think and overanalysing everything, especially love. If you are confused, anxious and upset early in a relationship, he ain’t the one, he’s everyone’
  • Do things that feed your soul but also things that scare you. Go places you’ve never been, meet people from different walks of life, expand your mind with education, embrace uncertainty, listen really listen, be happy for others achievements as your time will soon come, and treat all people the same for they too have a story.
  • Value and respect yourself enough and know your worth, as what’s truly meant for you will come effortlessly and stay, and what’s not will fall away.
  • ALWAYS trust your gut, your INTUITION knows its stuff!⠀⠀
